Mary Ballard was born on July 10, 1859 in Clay County, Indiana. She moved with her parents to Hookspoint, Iowa where she was married to Edward Randolph Baker on Jan. 27, 1880. To this union six children were born, two daughters passed away in infancy, son, Robert passed away in 1934. Her husband died in 1939, son Fred died in 1940.
Mr. and Mrs. Baker had lived at Inman, Neb., for about 45 years. After the death of her husband, she made her home with a daughter..
Those who survive her are two daughters: Mrs. Blanch Gifford, and Mrs. Bert Green, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker was baptized and joined the Methodist Episcopal church at Inmon, Neb.
