Frederick Benomi Miskin, 71, who lived in Shelton in his youth, died Saturday in Oakland, CA, following a lingering illness.

He was born March 19, 1887, at St. Johns, KS, the son of James R. Miskin and Amelia Moore. He married Laura Abbott Sept. 22, 1920, at the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and no children were born to the couple. She died in 1926. Following their marriage, they lived in Delta, UT, and later moved to California, where he had lived since.

He was a member of the LDS Church and filled a mission to the western states, leaving from Shelton.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Woods Chapel of the Pines, with Bishop Karl W. Devenport, bishop of the Ucon Ward, officiating. Interment will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home.
