She died in 1931, and he married 2nd, Mary E Harris on 20 Feb 1935 in Hartford, Lyon Co, KS. They had 3 children: Joyce A., Clarence E., and Helen M. After Mary's death in 1961, Emory later moved to Louisville, Jefferson, KY.
