Lula C Boone was the daughter of Joseph Benjamin Boone and his first wife (and mother of all but one of his children), Alice Elizabeth "Alie" Angle Boone. At that time Joseph and family lived in rural Bonbrooke, Franklin County, Virginia. Lula's mother died in 1896, and in about 1899 Joseph married Barbara S Crist, who helped Joseph finish raising his children with Alice, and also had one more child, Lula's stepbrother Carson Delbert. Not long after that the family moved to Miami, Ohio, where Lula died on November 17, 1903.
