Frederick Gorsegner, 62, of 848 River Rd. Fair Haven, a resident of that borough seven years, died Monday at Hazard hospital. He was born in Wisconsin, son of the late Christian and Mary Gorsegner.
Mr. Gorsegner was a member of the Red Bank Carpenters' union. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Kauffman Gorsegner; two daughters, Miss Cecilia Gorsegner of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Julia McQueen of Fair Haven and a son, John Gorsegner of Headden's Corner. Also surviving are four brothers, Chris, Gus and Carl Gorsegner, all of Wisconsin, and Emil Gorsegner of Washington, and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Buss and Mrs. Louise Doege, both of Wisconsin, and Mrs. Rose Warner of Arizona.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the Woolley funeral home. Long Branch, with Rev. Roger J. Squire, pastor of the Red Bank Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.
Transcriber's Note: Frederick Gorsegner was the 2nd child of twelve children to be born in the family of Christian Gottlieb and Mary (Teuke) Gorsegner. He married Gertrude Kauffman of Thorp in 1909. Gertrude died in 1962 in Middletown Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of this posting date all five of their children, Cecilia, Julia, John W., Violet, Florence, and Walter are deceased.
