DAVENPORT — Loretta Jane Bailey, 58, of Davenport, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, in Davenport.
Burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
Jane was born November 30, 1951, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Melba (Ingle) Farrier. She was united in marriage to Ray M. Bailey on November 16, 1974, in Washington.
In earlier years, she had been employed as a Teacher's Aide for the Davenport School District. First and foremost, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting, stock car racing and NASCAR races. Jane also enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing and hunting for Morel mushrooms.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ray, Sr.; her sons, Ray (Jennifer) Bailey, of Bettendorf, Russell Bailey, of Rock Island, and Rodney (Roxie) Bailey, of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; her sisters, Alice (Jerry) Smith, Sally (Dave) Rarick; and her brothers, Clarence (Myra) Farrier and Andy (Kathy) Farrier, all of the Washington area.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Don Farrier.
