Evening Huronite, Huron, SD. August 14, 1935

Mrs. James J. Borah, aged 67, passed away at her home, 586 Fourth street southwest, at an early hour this morning. She had been ill since December 20, 1934.

Lizzie Bailey was born April 20, 1868, at Hader, Minn. A year later she moved with her parents to Oakland, IA,. where they lived until 1883 when they moved to Dakota Territory, settling in Hand county. She united in marriage to James J. Borah at Redfield, February 17, 1886. After their marriage they went to live at the Borah homestead near Bonilla, living there until the spring of 1911 when they retired and moved to Huron, where they have since resided.

Those surviving besides the husband are one daughter: Mrs. John Meyer, Wolsey; three sons, Lloyd Borah, Hitchcock; J. Carroll Borah, Huron; Herbert Borah, Wolsey; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Lawson, Huron; Mrs. James Bales, Gering, Neb., and 15 grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Hitchcock United Methodist church Aug. 16. Interment will be at Altoona cemetery at Hitchcock.
