Steve J. Barrett To Be Buried Saturday

Steve J. Barrett, pioneer, who lived at 655 Ohio Avenue Southwest, died at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in a Huron hospital. His death followed a protracted illness.
Mr. Barrett was born November 22, 1867, at Ft. Allegheny, Pa. In 1881 he came with his parents to Beadle County, settling on a farm eight miles north of Cavour. October 15, 1902, he was married to Anna L. Dickson of Hitchcock and in 1909 they moved to Huron. For 12 years he was employed in the fright house of the Chicago & North Western Railway.
Surviving are the widow and two nephews, Hugh Barrett of Tucson, Ariz., and Howard Barrett of Grants Pass, Ore.
Funeral services are to be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Walter's Chapel with Dr. Hubert Ketelle of Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be made in Altoona cemetery in Hitchcock. Pallbearers will be Charles Dickson, Huron; Perry Dickson, Russell Dickson, Floyd Dickson, all of Hitchcock; Orva French, Wessington and Irvin French of Pender, Neb.
