Graveside Services for Mr. James C. "Jim" Greene Jr., USMC retired, age 76, of Lindale, are scheduled for 1PM on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in the Lindale City Cemetery with Teresa Elliott & Jason Thomas officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.

Mr. Greene died on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in a Tyler Hospice Center. He was born on December 31, 1932 in Smith County to James Clyde Sr. & Virginia Mackey Greene.

Mr. Greene retired from the US Marine Corps and was formerly of North Carolina before returning to Lindale. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Greene was a co-founder the US TOO prostate cancer support group in Tyler, a life member of the VFW, and The Retired Officers Association.
