Mr. Greene died on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in a Tyler Hospice Center. He was born on December 31, 1932 in Smith County to James Clyde Sr. & Virginia Mackey Greene.
Mr. Greene retired from the US Marine Corps and was formerly of North Carolina before returning to Lindale. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Greene was a co-founder the US TOO prostate cancer support group in Tyler, a life member of the VFW, and The Retired Officers Association.
