Born in Oconee County, S.C. he was the son of the late W.W. and Floride Stone McKee and was retired from Spiezman Industries.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Post 144. Mr. McKee was a member of Return Baptist Church of Seneca, SC.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Nadine, include a son, James Anthony McKee of Belmont; and his sister, Elizabeth McKee of Seneca, S.C.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, and David McKee; and sisters, Vera and Margaret McKee, Mary Allison Grant, Grace Harber, and Martha Folds.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday from Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery in Westminster, SC with burial to follow.
