Archie T. Carter, age 91 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence in Hominy. Archie was born February 22, 1921 to Clyde and Rissie (Dalremple) Carter in Ozark Township, Arkansas; moving to Hominy, Oklahoma in 1945. Archie served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Archie married Pauline Montgomery on August 10, 1981 having 31 years of marriage. He was a Truck Driver for Osage County until he retired. He loved to work in the yard and flowers after he retired.
He is survived by his wife; one son and wife; three daughters and their husbands and step-son; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife Madine, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Graveside Service at the Pavilion is planned for Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Brown officiating. Music selections were "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "Amazing Grace". Pall Bearers were Mike Swain, Nick Carter, John Venable, Todd Venable, Jimmy Hutchison and Josh Johnson. Hominy American Legion Post #125 did the Military Honors.
Interment was at the A.J. Powell Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
