Donald Green
COLUMBUS Donald Bud Leslie Green, 65, 4115 17th St., died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Columbus Community Hospital Inc.
Services were today at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial is in Sts. Patrick and Joseph Cemetery in Platte Center with military honors by Hartman Post 84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Mr. Green was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Cedar Rapids to Claude and Lillian (Kolm) Green. He graduated from Spalding High School in 1951.
He married Mary Lou McManus in Lincoln. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-55. He was a longtime Columbus resident, where he was the owner of Green Music. He also worked for Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Co. in Iowa.
He belonged to the church, was an honorary third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, was on the St. Isidore Council, was a member of the Eagles Club and of American Legion Hartman Post 84.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Don (Valerie) of Columbus and Terry (Mary Pat) of Collegeville, Pa.; two daughters, Maralee (Steve) OÕNeill of Norfolk and Emily of Columbus; one sister, Donna Connelly of Spalding; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Bob Connelly; and his parents.
Memorials may be given to St. Isidore School or donors choice.
