Margarette Parr, the daughter of Charles Albert Parr and Margaret Ellen Baker Grady spent her childhood living in the home of her aunt and father's sister Bessie Mae Parr Patterson in Dallas Center Iowa. She married Myron Earl Hillmer in Boone on Jan 25th 1942. They were the parents of 3 children. After WW2 they moved to Chicago Illinois where they lived for many years. In late 1960s they once again relocated to Mesa Arizona. During the 80's and 90's they lived in various locations with their daughter and son-in-law. She died in Virginia Beach, Virginia at age 74. Over the years she had been President of the Grandmothers Club in Chula Vista California, member of the White Shrine and Amaranth, and sang in the Korn Kob Klan Hillbilly senior adult group, entertaining seniors in Jacksonville Florida.
Along with their 3 children, she left 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
