Mary Parker Dies Friday In Wichita Falls
Mary Lee Parker, age 90, passed away Friday morning in a Wichita Falls nursing home. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from Totten-Day Funeral Home with Mr. Gil Peters officiating. Burial was in New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Totten-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Parker was born February 27, 1905 in Chillicothe, Texas and had been a resident of Electra since 1910. She was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Electra and was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Parker was also the head teacher at the Kindergarten School in Elcctra in the 1930's and had worked for 16 years as a Nurse's Aid at Wichita General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, F.L. Parker and two daughters, Blanche Gillcy and Mary Hobson. Survivors include three sons, Felix Parker of Fritch, Texas, Frank Parker of Whitcsboro, Texas and Clarence Parker of San Diego, Ca.; one sister, Beatrice Milner of Vernon, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
