He honorably discharged at Camp Discharge at Merion Square (now Gladwyne), Montgomery County, July 22, 1865, to date July 1, 1865.
He married Mary Ann Mentzer November 18, 1869, in Cumberland County, and fathered Ada Ruth (b. @1869), Maggie Jane (b. 05/02/72), and Sarah Florence (b. 05/13/76).
