WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Maurene "Grams" (Rogers) Blevins, 82, will be held Monday, August 20, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Martin Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow the service at Liberty Cemetery. Family visitation will be Sunday, August 19, from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Maurene passed away on August 16, 2012 in Denton, Texas. She was born on October 28, 1929 to Elbert and Elvie (Murrell) Rogers in Denison, Texas. She married Richard D. Blevins, Sr. on July 21, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma.
She is survived by daughters: Beth Corbett of Whitesboro, TX; and Vicki McNairn and husband, Bret, of Gainesville, TX; son: Richard Blevins, Jr. and wife, Ann, of Whitesboro, TX; a sister, Marvis Blevins of Muskogee, OK; brother-in-law: Mick Burch of Sultan, WA; five grandchildren: David Belz, Amelia Corbett, Amanda Howard, Alisha Lewter, and Jamie Clayton; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Blevins, Sr.; a son, Roger Dale Blevins; brothers: Alfred Rogers and Vernon Rogers; sisters: Ella Rector and Murlene Burch.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Blevins, Christopher Black, Jeremy Black, Lindsay Black, Zach Worthington, Zac Clayton, Justin Lewter and Greg Anderson.
