Winifred graduated from the University of Washington, with a major in nursing, and became a Registered Nurse. In 1970, she married William E. Maloney and lived in Los Angeles, with her husband for many years, where she pursued a career in nursing. The Maloneys retired in 1990, and moved to Clinton, where they resided until her husband's death, in 2007.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Janice Mainland and husband Richard of Los Angeles; three grandsons, Mark Mainland of New York City, Jason Mainland and wife Scilla of San Rafael, Calif., and Grant Mainland and wife Alexis of New York City; and a great-grandson, Kian Jay Mainland of San Rafael.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park."
