Barbara was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Los Angeles, Calif. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in Canoga Park, California in 1951 and then became a Flight Attendant for Western Airlines. Barbara raised her family in Portland while working as an instructor for both the John Robert Powers School of Modeling and the Patricia Stevens Career College and Finishing School. She was a fashion model for many years. After her modeling career, she worked as a self-employed Image Consultant for Nordstrom, Meier & Frank and Saks Fifth Avenue. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Rosarians and donated much time to veterans. She was a breast cancer survivor who completed two Susan G. Komen Races for a Cure. Barbara had a great love for travel and anything cultural, reading, gardening, gourmet cooking, parties and entertaining, dancing, friends and family. She was known for her quick wit and being "the life of the party." She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
