TOMMY DALE MAYO, 65, of Hugo, died at 1:48 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday morning. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Tommy was born September 18, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Cletis Thomas and Ruby Elizabeth Robinson Mayo. He worked at the KPLT radio station in Paris for several years and was a promoter of Southern Gospel Music all of his life.
Mr. Mayo is survived by two daughters, Joy Lynn Parson of Paris and Kara Beth Jones-Thomas of Houston; and three grandchildren, Tylea Parson, Ryan Jones, and Torrance Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents.
