Charles Herbold Dies Sunday
Charles A. Herbold, 83, 4133 W. 9th St., Des Moines, a former Newton resident, died Sunday morning at the Americana Nursing Home, Des Moines.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Des Moines, and burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Arnold's Funeral Home, Des Moines. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Fund will be accepted.
Surviving are his widow, Anne; a daughter, Charlotte of Ames; three sons, Roy, Glenn and Howard, all of Newton; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three brothers, Walter, Victor and William, all of Montana. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura, and four brothers.
Mr. Herbold was born Aug. 8, 1886, at Newton. He resided in Newton until 1942. ~ The Newton Daily News, September 15, 1969.
