Funeral services were held Wednesday in Garland Second Ward for Mrs. Edna Pickett Turley, 53, wife of Aubrey F. Turley. Mrs. Turley died Sunday after an illness of several weeks.
She was born March 27, 1904 in Providence, a daughter of George M. and Annie Reading Pickett. She married Walter B. Turley Nov. 18. 1925, in the Logan Temple. He died in 1935 She married Aubrey F. Turley in 1936.
Active in the L.D.S. Church she served in the Relief Society 'as literary teacher and visiting teacher; in the Mutual and Primary leadership; in the Relief Society, Singing Mothers. She was also active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, serving as first vice captain of the Garland camp.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, Harlan B., Clearfield; Grant, Pleasantview Ida.; Max W., Garland; L. Reese, Tremonton; one daughter, Judith Rae Turley, Garland; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ivy Campbell, Logan; Mrs. Bessie Nelson, Smithfield; Mrs. Jean Anderson, -Shelby, Ida.; Mrs. Dora Hendricks and Mrs. Amy Bair, both of Richmond; and two brothers, Milton Pickett, Idaho Falls, and Leland Pickett, Smithfield.
Burial was in the Logan cemetery under the direction of, Hall Mortuary.
