HARTWICK, LOIS ANN (BENTON) Born April 4, 1940 in San Diego, died December 30, 2005 in Hemet; she was 65 years of age.
Lois was raised and lived her entire life in the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley. Beginning in her 20's, Lois worked for General Telephone in Hemet as an Operator, and continued for 17 years. She then took time away from work to raise her beloved children. After that she again went to work, this time in the medical billing department where she continued for 15 years before retiring. Lois was a graduate from Perris Union High School in 1958, and was a member of the Winchester Methodist Church. In her youth, she enjoyed off-roading in Glamis and attending the Baja 1000 in Mexico, horseback riding, bowling in which she belonged to several leagues, going to the beach and most of all loving her family and attending every activity her cherished grandchildren were involoved in.
Locally, Lois is survived by her husband Richard of Hemet, daughter Shelly Jackson her husband Eric and their children Austin, Riley and Presley, son Rick his wife Hannah and their children Kathy and Carson. She is also survived by her step-daughters Chris Nolan of Bakersfield, Patti Smith of Bakersfield, and Tammie Noll of Oklahoma, as well as all their children, two sisters Sandra (Harold) Lichty of Banning, Eula Lichty of Arkansas. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lois Benton, Brother John Benton and brother-in-law Daryl Lichty.
