ALICE KATHERINE WHITESIDE
Alice Katherine Whiteside, 79, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Dandridge, TN, and Crossville, passed away July 7, 1998. Funeral services were held July 9 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Burris Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
She was born June 19, 1919 in Millspring, NC, the daughter of Thomas and Bertha Ruppe Womack. Mrs. Whiteside was a homemaker, and she was a member of First Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Dandridge, TN.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Lawrence Whiteside of Franklin, TN; son, Ralph Whiteside of Franklin; sisters, Clara Mae Ledbetter of Rockspring, NC, and Maude Wilson of Rutherfordton, NC; and five granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Lawrence Whiteside; and sister, Mildred Lynch.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Sitton, Taft Howell, Tony Early, Charles Early, James Miles and Clifford Connor. Dr. James Beasley and the Rev. Loretta Stutz officiated, with special music by Georgianna Upshaw and Kimberly White.
Burris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
