Logue-Allen Wedding

A Pretty wedding took place last Wednesday evening, Oct. 20th, 1915, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Logue, when their daughter Thena Elizabeth became the bride of Mr. Elmer F. Allen. Promptly at 6 o'clock Miss Hannah Witt of Bison, played the Mendlessohn wedding march and the bride and groom entered the parlor and took their places before Rev. A. J. Bond, pastor of the Friends church, who performed the ceremony. The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the ceremony was witnessed by thirty-five relatives and friends.

Following congratulations, the guests were invited, to the dining room where an elaborate wedding supper was served. The bride wore a white satin dress trimmed with lace. Tho groom wore a suit of blue serge. They received many beautiful and useful presents.

The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Logue and has grown to womanhood in our midst. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Amon Allen, who resides north of the city. He is highly esteemed by all who know him and he is an industrous young farmer. They will be at home to their friends on the Allen farm north of town, as 1 Mr. and Mrs. Amon Allen intend to move to town immediately and occupy the property they recently purchased of Arthur Long in the east part of the city. The many friends join in wishing the bride and groom a happy and prosperous journey through life.

Those attending the wedding from a distance were; Miss Hannah Witt of Bison, Kans., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Steen of Newton, Kans.; Mrs. Mary Goff of Oskaloosa, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Logue, Mrs. Anna Lewis and Willie Logue and family, all of Pratt, Kans.
