Mount Airy, N.C. - Mr. William John Johnson, 64, of 839 Willow Hill Circle, Mount Airy, husband of Glenda Wolfe Johnson, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Johnson was born in Salem County, N.J., on Dec. 24, 1940, to the late Robert Charles Johnson, Sr. and Ethel Stancliff Johnson, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Glenda Wolfe Johnson of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Jean and Jimmy Collins, Eileen Johnson and Tammy Renee and Bobby Thomas, all of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. Johnson, Jr. and Wendy of Mount Airy, and Jeffrey Duane and Lynn Johnson of Ripley, Miss., 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Marie Zane of Wilmington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Charles Johnson, Jr. and Kay of San Jian Capistrano, Calif., Kenneth M. Johnson of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Dale M. and Heidi Johnson of Bridgeton, N.J.
