Martha Lewter Lane, 76, of West Main Street, Franklin, TN, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at West Harpeth Terrace Convalescent Center, Franklin, TN.

Memorial services were held Thursday, May 24, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Brister and Rev. Debbie Eubanks officiating.

Martha was born June 2, 1930 in Ardmore, TN, to Lofton Lewter and Alma Lou Whitt Lewter. She was a graduate of Giles County High School and St. Thomas School of Nursing. She was director of nurses at Franklin Health Center and administrator of Rescare Home Health. Mrs. Lane was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church and lived in the Brentwood-Nashville area for 40 years.

Survivors include her husband, Garland "Joe" Lane of Nashville, TN; sons, Rick (Jane) Lane of Franklin, TN, and Joey (Suzette) Lane of Franklin, TN; grandsons, Joseph and Daniel Lane of Franklin, TN.
