Beatrice S. Gildner, 87, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday evening, March 12, in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

Born on April 10, 1917 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Elizabeth (Bogart) Smith and had lived in the area all of her life. Beatrice had worked for the Acme Market in Stroudsburg for many years retiring in 1953.

She was a new member of the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church and a member of the Dorothy Lim Memorial Court #110, Order of the Amaranth.

She is survived by a son, Arnold E. Bush and his wife, Charleen A. of East Stroudsburg; stepchildren, Charles, Richard and Gerald Gildner, Pauline Martz, Josephine Bobst and Ann Pescl; several grandchildren including Tracy Lyn Bush of Stroudsburg and Kimberly Anne Possinger, wife of Jason of Marshalls Creek; several great grandchildren, including a great grandson, Zachary Jason Possinger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Argus E. Bush and Charles N. Gildner; brothers, Frank J. Smith, Woodrow W. Smith and twin brothers, Richard Smith and Robert Smith; and sisters, Edythe Myers and Frances Smith Albertson.
