Sidonia W. Erbstoesser, 84, of Arkdale, died Sunday, August 5, 2001 at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.

Born November 1, 1916 in the town of Pine River, Sidonia was the daughter of Ernest and Caroline Karau Pankow. She married Robert Erbstoesser on September 23, 1939 in Chicago, Ill.

Sidonia and her husband moved to Benseville, Illinois in 1952, Rolling Meadows in 1966 and she moved to the Adams County town of Big Flats in 1999. She loved sewing and gardening, and was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Friendship and a former member in Palatine, ILL. Surving are daughters Carolyn (Merlyn) Barton, Arkdale; and Jean (Angelo) DeMonte, Bari, Italy; sons Russell (Pamela), Castle Rock, Washington; and James (Diane) Marengo, ILL.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Florence Dohr, Waukegan, ILL; and Elaine Gremler, Milwaukee, Wisc.; and brother Norman (Lila Mae) Pankow, Merrill. She as preceded in death by her husband in 1974, brothers Martin and Carl Pankow and sisters Viola Hamlin, Gerda Pauls and Olga Sann.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 11, at Riseberry's Funeral Home and Crematory, Friendship, Richard Haviland officiated. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake, ILL.
