Betsey Ciana Allen was the daughter of Harvey Allen (1787-1848) and Rachel (Shepard) Allen (1792-1867). She first married Charles Taylor (1811-1860). After Charles Taylor died, she married Lewis Goodwin (1817-1875) who was also widowed and a native of Ohio.
