ALEXIS - Mrs. Nova Howard Hoover 91, of Highway 27 died May 11, 1995, at Lincoln Nursing Center in Lincolnton. Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexis Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Malcolm Ivey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Hoover, a homemaker, was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Stroupe Howard. She was the widow of Willie Hoover.
Survivors are her sons, Raymond Hoover of Denver, Howard Hoover of Charlotte; daughters, Mrs. Mary Galloway of Charlotte, Mrs. Eva Adams of Lincolnton; brother, Albert Howard of Charlotte; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Spates of Franklin, Mrs. Willie Mae Ellington of Mount Holly, Mrs. Louise Rankin of Charlotte, Mrs. Viola Bynum; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Alexis Baptist Church, Alexis-High Shoals Rd., Alexis, NC 28006.
The family also will be at the home of Eva Adams, 716 Salem Church Rd., Lincolnton.
