Services for Richard Lewis Abbott, 58, of 928 Hallbrook Drive will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors. Memorials may be made to Richland Memorial Hospital Children's Hospital.

Mr. Abbott died Thursday, May 18, 1995. Born in Bakersfield, Calif., he was a son of Geraldine Richards Abbott and the late Cres Abbott. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a former employee of Consolidated Systems. He was a member of the B.S. Club.

Surviving are his wife, Elfriede Grun Abbott; his mother of Bakersfiled; sons, Ricky Abbott of Pelion and Billy Abbott of Columbia; a daughter, Linda Whitehouse of Virginia Beach, Va; a brother, Don Abbott of Washington; sisters, Naomi Neely of California and Cleste Disney of Bakersfield, Calif. and four grandchildren.
