Lee Whiteker(sic), about 55 years of age, died about six o'clock, Monday evening, at his home, 504 West Sixth street, following an extended illness. He formerly followed the trade of a painter here. A sister, Mrs. Emma Gates, residing at Silver Creek, was notified, but was unable to come. Burial services were to be held at three o'clock this afternoon, at the Grand Island cemetery, Rev. C. B. Harman, of St. Paul's English Lutheran church, officiating.
