Harry Mack Chilcott, 83, of Points, W.Va., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, in Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney, W.Va.

Mr. Chilcott was born June 2, 1918, in Hoy, W.Va., the son of Archie and Martha Jane Whitlock Chilcott. He was grounds keeper for Ice Mountain Park.

He married Irene Virginia Whitacre on July 18, 1941, in Cumberland, Md.

Surviving with his wife, are a daughter, Ruby Lambert of Springfield, W.Va.; a son, Earl Chilcott of Points, W.Va.; a sister, Ethel Viola Kidwell of Slanesville, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Union Cemetery, Slanesville, W.Va., with the Rev. Norman Landis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va.

***I was the one who discovered that he had passed away in his favorite chair. It wasn't unusual to see him sleeping in it at around 6pm or so, but this time, he had left to go be with Jesus and his family. He was my great-grandfather who helped raise me. He was there when my real dad didn't want to be and I will be eternally greatful for that. He was my superman. I never thought anything would ever happen to him. I love and miss him so very much. Grandma is with him now and I hope they're so very happy. ***
