OAKDALE - Services for the Rev. Gilbert St. Andre were at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ardoin with the Revs. T.C. Hogan, DeWight St. Andre and Carroll Teal officiating. Burial was in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under direction of Ardoin.
Pallbearers were Lonzo Holloway, Sammy Swanson, Earl Swanson, Sammy Wiggins, Henry Fee and Wilbur Thombley.

Gilbert St. Andre, Retired Minister
OAKDALE - The Rev. Gilbert St. Andre, 76 of Forest Hill, died Saturday in Oakdale General Hospital.
He was a native of Natchitoches and had been a resident of Forest Hill for the past 25 years. He was a retired Baptist minister.
Survivors include his wife, Mae St. Andre of Forest Hill; one son, the Rev. Dwight G. St. Andre of Loxley, Ala.; three daughters, Ethlene Bright of Natchitoches, Pauline Holly of DeSoto, Texas, and Dorothy Taylor of Deer Park, Texas; one sister, Betty Richey of Tioga; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ardoin with the Revs. T.C. Hogan, Carroll Teal and Dwight St. Andre officiating.
Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens with masonic graveside services.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
NOTE: Genealogy, family and DNA research have pretty well established Gilbert's biological parents were William David Gibson, 14968844, and Iris Drewett of the Jena, LA area.
