Clara Anderson is the daughter of Johan (Jan/John) Gustaf Anderson and Anna Greta Andersdotter, born in Sweden, and emigrated to the Rutland, Vermont in 1882 with her father, mother, sisters Henrieka and Mathilda, brother Carl Aron, and aunt Christina. The family moved to Clinton and Fitchburg @ 1890. Clara married Charles Theodore Washburn in Clinton MA, also born in Sweden, having two children, Annie Marie and Olga, divorced in 1895, than married Robert A Carlson in January 1898. Robert and Clara had 5 children (chronologically): Robert Carl Carlson, Harry A Gustave Carlson, Mabel Elizabeth Carlson/Taylor (adopted by Joseph and Rose Taylor), Marshall Enov Carlson/Taylor (adopted by Earnest W and Parmelia Taylor), and Clifford Carlson. Clifford was 2 months old when his mother died from surgical complications.
The two oldest remained with their father, Robert, after Clara's death. The plot has Clara, Robert A, Robert Carl, and Harry Gustave (and Ferdinand X Bedard Jr) all buried there. Clara and Harry have markers. New Cemetery has documentation explaining who is buried in the plot. The site is located on the lower part of the cemetery, furthest section from the lower entrance/exit next to the stone wall, 80 yards from the beginning of the hill that takes one to the upper section.
