George W Murray was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was the son of William Murray and Martha Elliot. He married Annie M Beazley in Halifax, NS. Together they had 8 children, two of which George is buried with in the unmarked plot in Mt Calvary (Section 6, Rg 83, #41). George was a blacksmith and active in the labor movement in Massachusetts. He resided in Somerville when he passed away. His funeral service was conducted by the Moose Lodge by George Henderson. The service started at the house of his son Russell at 57 Swan, Everett, MA. He and Annie moved to Boston area in the early 1880's. George and Annie's had the following children in chronological order:
Lilly M., Mary Ethel, Martha Lydia, Victor J, George Carlton, William Eustice Russell, Walter Howard, and R. Joseph Nelson Lee. Those interested in this family may contact [email protected]
