Jesse V. McCreery, 54, of 309 E. Eighth St., died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, at Ball Hospital, following a four-day illness. He was an employee of Chrysler Corporation at New Castle.

Surviving are the widow, Letha M. McCreery; a son, Ralph, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Haney of Muncie; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lucile Scroggs and Mrs. Earl Etchison, both of this city; one step-son, Charles Wright of Muncie; the mother, Mrs. Bertha McCreery of Yorktown; two brothers, Earl McCreery of Yorktown, and Clarence McCreery of Muncie, and one sister, Mrs. Edna Ballinger of Daleville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Meeks mortuary by the Reverend Charles E. Kerr. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery at Gaston. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Thursday.
