Albert L. Kiene
Albert L. Kiene, 70, of 1216 Taylor, died Monday night at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born January 8, 1877, in Pandora, O., and came to Valencia, Kan. with his parents when a boy, where they settled on a farm. He spent his entire adult life in Shawnee and Douglas counties and was a member of Berryton Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mayme Kiene of the home; a son, C.F. Kiene of Calcutta, India; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Hof of Fresno, Calif.; two granddaughters, Mary Lynn and Catheryn Janis Hof of Fresno, and several nieces and nephews.
Penwell funeral home is in charge.

According to his WWI draft registration, in Sept. of 1918 Albert was farming in Berryton, Kansas. He was married to Mary Lydia Kiene. He was of medium build, stout, with gray eyes and brown hair.
His son, Clarence Kirk Kiene, was born 8 Feb 1908. His death was listed as Aug 1960 on the SSDI.
His daughter, Mary E. Hof, was born 29 Nov 1916. She died 25 Mar 1999. Her last residence was given as Fresno, California.
