Elizabeth A. Green Orrico died peacefully at home on October 22, 2009. Born in Woodbridge "Betty" spent her adult life caring for her family and friends in Avenel. Elizabeth was an active member of the Avenel Golden Circle Association, a communicant of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church; and belonged to the Sunday morning "Breakfast Club". She was employed by the Purolator Company in their Accounting Department and retired in 1976.
Mrs. Orrico was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Elmer M. Green, a Woodbridge Police Officer, her son Robert M. Green and also her husband, Ralph J. Orrico.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Gerard M. Green of Edison, her daughter-in-law, Dawn Green and her beloved daughter Patricia M. Green, of Dunmore, Pa. She was cherished by her three Grandchildren, Brian, Julie and Kevin Green.
Funeral will be on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel with a Funeral Liturgy following at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, Avenel at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-4 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center (www.havenhospicenj.org), 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820.
