She was born Jan 27, 1927, in Salt Lake City, UT to Herman Rudolf and Laura Lund Bangerter. She married Kenenth Harold Smith, he preceded her in death. Beverly married Manuel Vigil. She is survived by her husband, Manuel, Centerfield; daughter, Barbara K. June 26, 2002, 2 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E. 10600 S, Sandy, where friends may call Wed. 1-2 p.m. Burial, Larkin Sunset Gardens. Funeral directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary, Salina and Gunnison. On the back of a bucking bronco reaching for shooting stars, she was a cowgirl riding the rodeo from town to town each destination its own adventure, until a handsome young cowboy lassoed her heart. Her dreams became their dreams and together they raised a daughter, two grandchildren and purebred American Quarter Horses. From then until now she "chased cans" like she pursued life, with a passion. The rhythm of life's ride carried her through joy and devastation, love and loss to love of another cowboy and the joy of knowing her great grandchildren. She followed her heart everyday. Moving through this world with grace, strength, honesty and the quiet dignity that she valued so much in her beloved horses. She lived the life of her dreams, and those who were lucky enough to know her, were made better. The sun shined brightly over the meadows of her beautiful ranch that June day. The smell of alfalfa and soft nickers lingered in the warm morning air, summer was drifting in. She pulled out her boots getting ready to ride, preparing for next weeks competition. Suddenly her beautiful heart stopped, and she was gone, off to her next great adventure. Happy trails to you, until we meet again
