ANNA HOEFNER

Mrs. Alfred Hoefner, 70, of Route 1, Newton, died early Tuesday afternoon at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness. Nee Anna Huebner, she
was born Feb. 6, 1885 in the Town of Newton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Ferdinand Huebner. She was married to Mr. Hoefner Dec. 20, 1914. the couple made
their home on a farm in the Town of Newton, two miles northwest of the village
since that time. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Hahn, Newton; one grandchild
and two brothers, Adolph of the Town of Newton and Arthur of West Allis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in
Newtonburg with the Rev. F.C. Kneppel, pastor, officiating. Interment will be
in Evergreen Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Berge Funeral Home,
Valders from Sunday noon until 10:30 am Monday and at the church from 11 am
Monday until the hour of services.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hoeffner (sic) at the home of the bride's parents. The young
couple will make their home on the farm of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Hoeffner, in the town of Newton. Congratulations.
