Well Known Oak Ridge Couple Are Honored At Open House On Golden Jubilee
One of the happiest and most interesting events ever to take place in Oak Ridge, was the celebration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary by Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Eugene Barham on Tuesday evening, November 20, 1951 from 6 until 9 o'clock. long article

EUGENE BARHAM SUCCUMBS AFTER LENGTHY ILLNESS
Death claimed on of Oak Ridge's most prominent citizens this morning at 7:00 am. He was Thomas Eugene Barham, 81, who passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. Last rites will be conducted at 3 pm tomorrow at the Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Dr. G. L. Greene, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery in Oak Ridge with Blackwell-Golden in charge.

A resident of Oak Ridge all his life, Mr. Barham was the son of:
William Thomas Barham
Ada Mott Barham.

Hr was a graduate of Georgetown College and attended business school at Poughkeepsie, New York. In 1901, he married Miss Lillian Pipes.

Until his illness, Mr. Barham was most active in several clubs and organizations. He was a Mason for 50 years, held membership in the Lions, and served as Secretary of the Sunday School class at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Many years of his life were spend as a member on the Morehouse Parish School Board, of which he was once President. After 20 years of service as Oak Ridge Post Master, he retired.
