"As we go to press we learn that Mr. Peter B. Curry, of Mahopac Falls, brother of Lorenzo D. Curry, this village, and father of Miss Ellen Curry of Drum Hill school, died yesterday, after a short illness. Mr. Curry was well known in this village. About sixteen years ago he was elected school commissioner of Putnam county on the republican ticket, serving with great credit to himself and his constituents. He had been a teacher in the district school of his native county for nearly sixty years, and was respected and beloved by a large circle of relatives, neighbors and friends. He was about 75 years old."
