Mrs. Scofield was born June 13, 1930 in Chilton County, the daughter of George D. and Eleanor Mae Watson Allred. She was a devoted wife, homemaker and member of Corinth Baptist Church; she and husband, Robert F. "Bob" Scofield were married for 61 years.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Scofield of Joppa; three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert F. Jr. and Caroletta Scofield of Joppa, Charles Daniel "Danny" and Kathie Scofield of Joppa and Gregory Alan Scofield of Guntersville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon June and Carl Cash of Guntersville, Susan Harriet and Dave Stephens of Huntsville and Glenda Irene Scofield of Joppa; 6 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Bud and Betty Allred of Arab and three sisters and brothers-in-law: Maxine and Rudolph Chambers of Arab, Doris Bolding also of Arab and Charlotte and Robert Keel of New Hope.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church, Brother Buddy Strickland, officiating. Entombment will be in the Scofield Family Mausoleum, Corinth Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bolding, Mike Chambers, Scott Chambers, Patrick Pollard, Clay Scofield and Taylor Scofield.
