June was born February 3rd, 1927, son of Ralph Walker McAllister and Rhea Leona Christensen in Salina, Utah. He is a veteran of World War II.
June is survived by his wife of 54 years; Rebecca (Becky). They were married May 15th 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple and raised seven children; Richard Allen (Erin), John David (Terry), James Dean (Michele), William Dale (Valerie), Susan Marie (Ian) Anderson, Patricia Ann (Bart) Denison and Robert Roy.
June and Becky created a loving home in Dugway, Utah where he worked as a civil servant until he retired. Moving into an old home in Spanish Fork (because it had fruit trees), they made every visitor feel welcome and special.
June's exemplary life has been a shining beacon to his children and 25 grandchildren. Ever reading and learning, June personified what it meant to endure to the end. His dedication to home teaching, family history and his callings in the church will continue to bless the lives of his family for generations. June sacrificed everything he had to teach his children how to live, love, work and play. His green thumb and garden will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Noon at the Spanish Fork First Ward Chapel, 310 East Center Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Monday evening, August 13, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
