Charles Gray Blackwell, 73 of Seminary, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Ellisville Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Shoemake officiating. Burial will be in Oak Bowery Cemetery. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, 601-477-3797

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home .

He was a graduate of JCJC and Ole Miss Business and Law Schools. He served as a Miss. Legislator, a Public Defender, City Prosecutor and practiced law for over 40 years. He was also a business entrepreneur/store merchant. Special interests included community involvement; the Masons and Lions Club. Charlie will be remembered for his generosity to those in need, his community and church, as well as being a true Southern Gentleman. GO REBS!!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Excel Blackwell and Ina Rie Napier Blackwell.

Survivors Include: Daughters: Melissa Hankins (Nathan) of Ellisville; Gina Blackwell of Gluckstadt; Geri Dlabik (Klaus) of Brandon Son: Chuck Blackwell (Dianne) of Ellisville Siblings: Lynox Blackwell of Highland, Michigan, Karon Blackwell Allen of Las Vegas; Jelinda DeVorzon of Santa Barbara, CA; Rick Blackwell of Ellisville; Becky Lewis of Ellisville Grandchildren: Ashli Blackwell; Clint Garland; Lesley Blackwell; Alaina Garland; Camille Hankins; Campbell Hankins; Cagen Hankins Harold Barnes, Caregiver
