A consensus indicates the birth year listed on the death certificate is incorrect. The 1870 Census seems to list the children in correct order according to approximate birth years.
Inexplicably, two different members have added two brothers named James P. Scoggins. My private records indicate she had only one brother named James. Interestingly, two seemingly valid links to James P. Scoggins were created. The Mount Zion headstone has a birth and death date while the Lyons headstone is carved with only a birth date. Consequently, my first guess was Mount Zion is where he's interred while the Lyons Cemetery was only the planned interment site. However, because his spouse, Nancy Jane Swafford, is interred in the Lyons Cemetery, it creates doubt and we may never know.
