Geraldine O. Lantz, 91, of Box 402, Ulster RR 1, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1993, at the Robert Packer Hospital after an extended illness. Born July 30, 1902, in Rome Township, she was the daughter of Joseph and Berth Russell Elliott. She attended school in the Rome area. She worked at the Norden Bombsights of Elmira; Endicott-Johnson of Endicott, N.Y.; and Sylvania in Towanda. She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Coleman, on April 22, 1965, and by her second husband, Ellsworth Lantz Sr., on Nov. 29, 1987. She attended the Ghent Gospel Chapel. She is survived by stepchildren, Ellsworth Lantz Jr. of Ulster, Joseph Lantz of Middleburg, Pa., Mrs. Charles (Faith) Eschenburg of Athens, Mrs. Duane (Norlene) Hunter of Athens, Duane Thomas Lantz of Ulster, Nathan Lantz of Milford, Del., Sharon Stanton of Ulster, Emory Lantz of Ulster, Edgar Lantz of Milan, Allegra Peck of Ulster, Garth Lantz of Williamsport and Mrs. Douglas (Dephine) Bidwell of Ulster RR 1; 47 step-grandchildren; 45 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lura Cole of Athens, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a stepson, George, and his wife, Carmeta Lantz, in 1989, and a stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Stanton, in 1974. Friends may call at the Lowery Funeral Home, 225 S. Main St., Athens, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral and committal service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edward Lecates of Endicott, N.Y., officiating. Assisting him will be the Rev. Billie Bidwell of Windsor, N.Y., and the Rev. Bobby Bidwell of Syracuse, N.Y. Burial will be in Camptown Cemetery.
