MRS JOHN ROBERTSON DIES AT EWING
Mrs. Elnora Jane Robertson, 86, widow of John Thomas Robertson, passed away at her home in Ewing, Friday, May 7 (sic), after a lengthy illness.
Born in Camp Point, III., April 20, 1868, she was a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Miller. Her marriage to Mr. Robertson took place Feb. 16, 1888
Mrs. Robertson united with the Augusta Christian church during her girlhood and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lola Skilton of Tacoma, Wash.; one son, Roy Robertson of Doniphan, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two brothers, Sam and Ennis Miller of Augusta, III., and one sister, Miss Nettie Miller, who had cared for her since 1946.
Funeral sst vices were held at in Ewing Baptist church, Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Russell Davis in charge. Mrs. Margaret Willows and Mrs. May Belle Lillard sang "After" and ''Hold My Hand Precious Lord". Mrs. Mary Willows at the piano.
Casketbearers were Robey Herrick, Joe Losher, Willie Willows, Carl Hoehne, John Vickers and Robert Broy. Burial was in Emerson cemetery.
