DEATH OF EMERSON LADY
Mrs. Benj. P. Bowles died at her home near Emerson shortly after six o'clock this morning following an illness of two years. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Gullion, Sr. and was born in this county June 10, 1870. She married Mr. Bowles Nov. 22, 1889. She was a devout christian woman and was held in high respect in her community. The funeral services will be held from the Emerson Baptist church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock and the remains will be interred in the Emerson cemetery. Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers, E. D. Gullion, Nelsonville; Dr. W. T. Gullion, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Dr. O. R. Gullion, Eugene, Ore.
